The Billet Caster building houses a continuous billet casting machine.
A 300/80 + 12.5 MT EOT crane lifts the molten steel laddles and facilitates the process of Billet casting. It is a heavy structure approx. 61m tall and the crane operates at a height of 35m.
The project consists of extending the existing building and the crane girders to the new building.
Due to operational requirements, a 5.2 m deep, 24m long crane girder weighing 70 MT was required to be built.
JSSL fabricated and erected this girder accurately.
