Structural Erection

Prior to any work or deliveries being accepted onto site, a survey is conducted by the JSSL team to check alignment of foundations and the structure’s footprint. Any discrepancies established can then be corrected before deliveries and construction commencement.

Our use of the finest precision technology means that our careful process of production, all the way through to site assembly is made as simple as possible. As seen in any practice, the most sophisticated achievements stem from simple ideas.

Structural Erection

The steelwork is delivered to site in an erectable sequence. Each part is carefully marked with a unique code, which determines its exact place within the structural framework prior to arrival on site. Like a more specific version of a meccano model, all necessary parts are packaged and stacked in order. Based on these rudimentary ideas about efficiency, and facilitated by our detailed tekla modelling, our erection teams are able to piece together intricate and complex components with faultless accuracy and competence. The teams themselves are highly trained and possess areas of core expertise in the industry. They work in teams of five, comprising four erectors and one foreman. The number of teams on one site is largely dependent on the magnitude of the work undertaken. The results we produce reflect the quality of our process: aesthetically inspiring, precisely tailored and sustainable steel structures to take great pride in.

JSSL utilises the latest equipment available i.e.
  • Mobile Cranes
  • Cherry Pickers
  • Tele-handlers
  • Deck Riders
  • Tower Cranes

To ensure our work can be completed safely and punctually, JSSL makes use of Deck riders which are an advanced form of mechanical access, and are used to safely reach the subsequent steel erection activities. Tower cranes lift the deck riders into position, work commences, and this operation is repeated up the building as it grows in height.
